Ema Kasuya, the orange representative of Powerpuff Girls Z, can transform into “Colorful Bristle.” Her name is derived from Kasuya in Setagaya, Tokyo. The daughter of the wealthy Kasuya conglomerate, she is an otaku artist deeply involved in doujin culture, especially passionate about drawing yuri. Despite being born and raised in Tokyo, she constantly speaks in a Kansai dialect simply because she thinks it sounds cool—though whenever she gets serious or loses her composure, she unconsciously slips back into standard Japanese. She practiced rhythmic gymnastics as a child but gave it up because it became too difficult. She once attended the same gymnastics studio as Karin and is one of Karin’s biggest fans, attending nearly every domestic competition in person. Aside from drawing anime-style fan art, she also uploads illustrations of Karin to social media, leading her followers to jokingly call it “the most normie thing artist Kaku Uma-sensei does.” She has a younger sister who excels in practically every field, so she keeps her artistic side a secret from her family, intending to reveal it only once she feels she has become truly skilled enough.
